The PUMA Suede was first introduced in 1968 and has since become a footwear and pop culture icon thanks to its presence around the sporting world. Now, PUMA is returning to its roots with the new Suede VTG, coming soon.

PUMA’s classic Suede sneaker has seen a lot of fo love fro, the brand this year, celebrating the silhouette’s history and proximity to pop culture. This week, the German sportswear brand has unveiled it’s latest iteration of the classic Suede, subtitled Vintage, and meant to be as close to the original pairs from 1968 as possible. To achieve this new shape, the PUMA team made some subtle changes to the model itself, including shortened vamp, no more Suede branding, and a raw edge for the tongue. Additionally, this iteration of the Suede is constructed from a soft, ultra velvety suede leather for a more comfortable touch and feel. To start, the Suede VTG will be available in your choice of red, blue, or black with gold foil PUMA branding.
