Puma’s retro-inspired RS-X silhouette is on top of the game right now. Following their latest project with NASA, Puma has created another set of special edition throwback colorways, this time taking influence from the early days of hard drive technology for its retro design and flashy accents.
The RS-X made a splash in the sneaker community when Puma first revealed it earlier this year. The continuation of the Running System line from the 90s, the RS-X blends the old-school Puma tech with their modern designs, and it is a hit. This week, Puma released two new iterations of the RS-X, both of which continue the trend of taking inspiration from pieces of the past. This time around, its hard drives. A seemingly random choice, the new colorways actually take their theme from the technology inside, beginning with neutral uppers and accented by eye-catching flashes of color. One pair mixes shades of grey and black with yellow and orange for the louder, more contrasting look, while the second begins with a white upper before layering with shades of blue and teal.
