PUMA’s Running System technology is on fire this season. After introducing a new silhouette to the franchise this week, a special project in honor of the legendary movie Blade Runner was unveiled today, using the fan-favorite RS-X as its canvas.

November 2019 is here. The date may seem insignificant, but for the fans of the 1982 classic Sci-Fi movie Blade Runner, we are finally living in the future. Thankfully, the world is in a much different place than it is in the movie, as near-humanoid androids do not exist (yet). In other Blade Runner-related news, German sportswear brand PUMA is honoring the movie with a very well-timed special-edition colorway of their RS-X silhouette. The modern style packed with technology from the 80s is the perfect choice for the project, and takes on a color scheme inspired by the film’s dystopian Los Angeles setting. The look begins with a black mesh base layer, reinforced by both suede and leather cutouts. The heel counter features a blue and orange printed pattern inspired by the movie’s skyscrapers, while the famous PUMA Formstrip stands out on either side in turquoise.
