Back in October, PUMA introduced the Future Rider and Style Rider, two modern day versions of the ’80s Fast Rider. After the initial success, the two-pack of silhouettes is back in a set of matching “Ride On” colorways.
In the 1980s, running technologies were in a very different place. These days, we have different gels and foams underfoot to provide cushioning, but in the early days of sneaker technology, the materials underfoot were much simpler. Around that time, PUMA introduced the Fast Rider, which looked to new Federbein rubber outsoles for extra shock absorption. Since then, the technology in the silhouette has long been obsolete, but the style of the Fast Rider remains popular. When PUMA relaunched the silhouette back in October, the Future and Style Riders were a success, which has prompted the brand to release the updated classics in matching new colorways this week. Called the “Ride On” pack, each shoe features an eclectic mix of blue, green, and red tones set against a mostly white backdrop.

PUMA’s new “Ride On” pack, Featuring both the Future Rider and Style Rider, are scheduled to release later this week, on Decmber 7th, 2019. Both shoes in the eye-catching color scheme will be available from PUMA and select retailers for $80 and $100 respectively.
