PUMA’s vintage archives have served up plenty of inspiration for the brand in recent years. Next month, the German brand is reaching into the vault once more, this time to revive the Performer OG, a tennis sneaker from the late ’90s.

PUMA’s involvement on just about every sport on the planet has amassed them an amazing collection of footwear for any occassion. From basketball courts to Formula 1 tracks, the Big Cat can be seen on the feet of athletes around the world. This week, PUMA is adding to their current arsenal, with the revival of another retro silhouette, the Performer OG. Originally built for the tennis court, the Performer features a leather upper with numerous jagged suede overlays, all of which is mounted on top of a thick EVA rubber midsole, and filled with the brand’s signature Trinomic technology. For the Performer’s reintroduction to the PUMA lineup, the team behind this release has chosen to go with the original “Bright Cobalt” colorway, which begins with a white leather base, light grey suede overlays, and flashes of cobalt blue around the toe and throughout the midsole.
