Puma’s recently revived Hoops division is on a roll this year, from their genre-defying Reform shoes made in partnership with Meek Mill to the storytelling behind standard release colorways. Now, the Hoops sector is ready to unveil their third sneaker since returning last year, the Puma Legacy.

The new Legacy from Puma Hoops pulls from all corners of the brand’s history in sports, from Pelé’s domination in the Puma King to Tommie Smith’s legendary silent gesture during the 1968 Mexico Summer Olympics. The new silhouette begins with a two-toned knit upper, which shows a secondary accent color through the thinly knit outer layer. The Legacy then adds thicker materials around the ankle for reinforcement, as well as a flexible leather eyestay for support. Puma’s famous T7 stripe runs up the outside of each ankle, when, combined with the classic Formstrip, provides superior lockdown and protection for your ankles on the court. The Legacy’s new midsole tooling adds Hybrid foam to the heel sections for a lightweight and bouncy cushioning element. Puma Hoops’ latest new sneaker will launch first in two standard colorways, white & black with gold accents, and an all-black pair with ghostly green hits.
