PUMA’s modernized version of the ’80s Rider silhouette is back in full swing for 2020, continuing to dominate the brand’s release calendar in new colorways. This week, the “Game On” pack adds new shaggy suede overlays to their Spring lineup.

Back in 1980, the Fast Rider was one of PUMA’s most comfortable yet simplistic running shoes, with a super-light design and shock-absorbing outsole. Today, PUMA’s revamped the Fast Rider as the Future Rider – reborn for casual-cool street style with bold material play and color blocking, a slimmer outsole, and ultra-comfortable Rider Foam. This week, the Future Rider returns in a pairing of new colorways for Spring, titled the “Game On” pack. The new release adds shaggy suede to the shoes’ mudguard and heel counter giving the silhouette some interesting new texture. The first colorway begins with with a mix of aquamarine blue and white for the base layers, reinforced by dark indigo blue overlays. The second is much brighter, coming in red and white with sand-toned suede overlays. Both pairs are finished off by gold foil PUMA branding and gum rubber outsoles.

PUMA’s latest release of the Future Rider silhouette, the modernized version of the ’80s sneaker, is scheduled to drop later this week, on May 1st, 2020. The colorful “Game On” colorway of the Future Rider will be available from both PUMA and select retailers with the usual price tag of $80.
