Puma and Coogi go together like peanut butter & jelly. The two have been closely associated since the 90’s when hip-hop culture reigned supreme. Now, the legendary duo is teaming up for a second colorful capsule collection, coming soon.
Coogi and Puma first teamed up for a small capsule collection paying homage to 90’s hip-hop earlier this year. Now, they’re back with part two of the wildly colorful project. This year marks the first official collaboration between the two, which may surprise many given the association between the two brands in decades past. The grouping of Puma and Coogi began in the 90’s when musicians like Biggie Smalls was making waves in both rap and fashion with his unique style. Styling the ultra-comfortable and colorful Coogie sweaters with Puma sneakers and track pants was an odd look at first, but grew quickly until it almost embodied late 90’s hip-hop. For their latest project, the two powerhouse brands are putting the signature Coogi knit touch on a new selection of Puma footwear and apparel. The star of the collection is the Puma California, which features an eye-catching blue-based knit around the entire upper, framed by black leather detailing. The black-and-blue look is repeated on the Puma Leadcat slide, as well as matching track pants and jacket, as well as two t-shirts.

Coogi and Puma are anticipated to release their latest collaboration on August 15th, 2018, though this date has not been confirmed by either party. Retail prices for the new assortment of footwear and apparel will range from $40 to $150, and launch from Puma, Coogi, and select Puma retailers around the world.
