Reebok’s Club C has been celebrating thirty-five years on retail shelves this year, and so far, 2020 has been filled with some exciting releases. This week, we can add the Patta x Club C to the list, teased online by the brand’s director.
Patta sneaker collaborations are never something you want to miss, especially when they are teaming up with on such a classic silhouette like their next upcoming project, the Reebok Club C. Still fresh off of their release of the New Balance 920 in September, Patta has been on a roll this year with their special-edition product, and the streak appears to continue with the next in line. Shown off by Patta brand director Lee Stuart earlier this week, the Dutch label is working on their version of the Reebok Club C, releasing later this year. While the long teaser image shows only a portion of the full silhouette, we can clearly see this iteration of the classic trainer follows some of the Vintage version’s design cues, namely the yellowed nylon tongue, white leather upper, and terry cloth inner lining. The difference comes with the lateral side Reebok branding, which has been replaced with Patta’s own logo as well as the Pan-African Flag. Additionally, a second set of laces in cream white is looped through the uppermost lace holes as an added bonus.

Patta’s upcoming special-edition release of the Reebok Club C has not yet been announced for release, though they are likely to launch sometime before the year is out. Featuring the Pan-African Flag on the lateral sides, this release will more than likely be exclusive to Patta, though this is yet to be confirmed. UPDATE 12/2/20: Patta has announced that its new Reebok Club C will release later this week on December 5th, 2020, exclusively in Patta stores in London, Milan, and Amsterdam, with proceeds being donated to local organizations that provide aid to communities across the African Diaspora.
