Fear of God and adidas Preview Summer 2025 Basketball II Colors

Fear of God Athletics and adidas dropped by the NBA All-Star Weekend in San Francisco this week to show off their upcoming Summer releases of the Basketball II model, coming in a total of four different styles throughout the next few months.

The NBA’s All-Star Weekend sneaker activations are in full swing today, with brands hosting a wide range of events showcasing new and upcoming product, as well as special releases. Yesterday, adidas hosted a private showcase of some of their Summer 2025 shoes, including sharing the first look at some next iterations of player signature models. Fear of God Athletics also made an appearance, showing off their upcoming slate of colorways for the Basketball II model.

Just yesterday, we got some release information for the second style of FoG x adidas’ Basketball II model, in a “Putty Beige” color scheme. Now, they are previewing the rest of the Summer lineup at adidas’ Bay Area event space. In addition to showing off the muted grey tone, styles of both the Mid and High-top pairs were shown in midnight navy, pale pink, and baby blue shades. All of these styles are expected to release over the next few months.

The upcoming releases of Fear of God Athletics x adidas’ Basketball II have not been officially announced yet, though they will likely come in waves over the next few months. The “Putty Beige” color will kick things off in March, with the pink, navy, and light blue pairs afterwards.

The Nike Dunk Low “Denim” Pack Releases in February 2025

The Nike Dunk has a new range of color schemes launching this Summer, bringing a variety of colors to the simple silhouette. This week, we got an early look at a new twist on the silhouette, pitting the shoe in two denim-inspired looks for Spring 2025.

Nike’s global push for the Dunk Low has brought us hundreds of new color schemes over the past few years. The model was the pinnacle of collectible sneaker culture throughout the last twenty years, with nearly every in-line and special-edition release fetching exponential prices in the resale market. Since 2020, the Swoosh has made the shoe widely available, with new styles releasing every few weeks.

This week, we have an early look at a new two-pack of colors for the iconic basketball-turned-lifestyle model. Dressed in denim-like twill fabrics, one style pits the shoe in natural and washed shades of blue for a two-tone look. The second opts for a brown palette, mixing light and dark shades with chocolate laces, and purple branding for a pop of color.

Pharrell’s adidas Superstar 92 Releases this Weekend

Pharrell Williams’ partnership with adidas strikes again this week, after the unveiling of his “Jellyfish” shoe early this month. This time, the Three Stripes’ 1992 version of the iconic Superstar gets an upgrade, releasing tomorrow.

The Superstar has been an essential part of adidas’ DNA since its introduction in 1970. The model’s all-leather build paired with the durable rubber toe cap were impressive innovations at the time, and spawned a new age of street style that peaked with Run DMC in 1986. The icon has remained a steadfast staple of the Three Stripes’ offerings ever since, and frequently gets new and updated stylings for the shifting landscape of fashion.

This week, longtime adidas collaborator Pharrell is releasing his take on a new version of the classic Superstar, dubbed the ’92 edition. The model presumably harkens back to a version of the shoe release in that year, and adds a slightly taller collar to the model, as well as a puffier overall look to both the upper and midsole. Both black and white original color schemes will be available, though each appears to have a unique lace color attached, yellow for the black style and pink for the white pair.

PHARRELL X ADIDAS SUPERSTAR 92 RELEASE INFORMATION

Pharrell’s next release with adidas arrives tomorrow, on February 15th, 2025. Featuring the Superstar 92, a puffier version of the iconic shoe, pairs will be available from retailers like A Ma Maniere and Social Status, with a wider release from the Three Stripes expected to follow shortly. The black & white colorways will be available for $200.

The Nike “Citron” Air Max TL 2.5 Releases Next Week

The Nike SNKRS Showcase returned this week, to give us another preview of what new releases and retro styles to expect over the next year. The Air Max lineup showed off some new silhouettes as well as upgraded older models, and one of the most interesting was the announcement of the return of the Air Max TL 2.5 in 2024.

Nike’s SNKRS Showcase this week has given us plenty of releases to look forward to for the next year. From more retro releases in the Cult Classics series to some brand-new Air Max mashups, the Swoosh will likely continue to give us these peeks behind the curtain in the future. This week’s event follows up the original showcase from last Fall, which is wrapping up those release with the return of the Air Max Sunder this Summer. This year’s retro style to return to the catalog was also previewed, the late 2000s Air Max TL 2.5. Part of the brand’s Total Air series which began in the ’90s, the silhouette is a close relative of the 97 model, and was first announced as a retro with CdG earlier this year.

Nike’s rerelease of the classic TL 2.5 is going to kick off with Comme des Garçon’s three black and white styles sometime in 2024 before they begin to drop their in-line colors. During the Showcase this week, we got an early look at two of the first releases for the initial rollout, the first of which is one of the model’s original colors. Dressed in black, the model adds bright Citron green for the shoe’s wavy accents and full-length air, as well as some reflective silver elements along the upper. The second pair is lighter, featuring a Phantom white base for the upper with bold orange accents layered underneath a black mudguard.

CLOT’s “Night Indigo” adidas Superstar Releases Next Week

Edison Chen’s CLOT and adidas have already launched a number of exciting new takes on some Originals classics over the last year. This Winter, the two are expected to release a toned down two-pack of the Superstar Mesh, coming this holiday season.

Edison Chen and CLOT’s releases with adidas have so far been largely inspired by formal dress shoes. Borrowing elements from oxfords and brogues to create new, upscale versions of the Superstar, the two have crafted a unique lane for themselves, and something unlike most standard collaborations between streetwear and sneaker brands.

This season, the two are taking a new approach to their next version of the Superstar. Straying away from dress shoe styling, the iconic trainer is getting a complete materials overhaul, removing the usually all-leather upper in favor of a single piece of mesh. Nubuck is applied to the heels, tongues, and eyestays, while the soles get a new rugged outsole. Two pairs are on the way, one in “Wonder White”, and the second in dark “Night Indigo”.

CLOT X ADIDAS SUPERSTAR MESH RELEASE INFORMATION

The next project from CLOT and adidas has not been announced for release et, and is currently expected to arrive sometime during the Holiday 2024 season. Two pairs of the Superstar Mesh in “Wonder White” and “Night Indigo” will be available from both partners as well as select retailers.

The Air Jordan 1 High “Black Toe Reimagined” is Now Available

Air Jordan 1 High OG “Black Toe Reimagined”

It looks like the Lost & Found offering was just a test. Following its success, the “Reimagined” series will now continue into 2025 with a new Air Jordan 1 High “Black Toe” offering. October 18th, which the pair was originally scheduled for, marked the 40th Anniversary of the day the Air Jordan 1 was banned from the NBA because of uniform regulations. Sneakerheads will now have to wait until the following year for the pair to hit shelves again.

Joining the Chicago offering, the Black Toe variation is right up there in terms of demand and hype. In-hand images of the 2024 offering has just surfaced. The pair features premium leather, much like the Lost & Found pair. The offering will come branded as usual with Nike Swoosh logos on the sides, Nike Air tongue labels, and, of course, the signature Wings logos embroidered on the ankles. The pair should also feature an additional set of laces and exclusive packaging.

In addition to these features, the pair will have MJ’s signature on the left inner collar with the words “My Very Best – Michale Jordan” written. The message “My Very Best–To Brother–Love Always, Michael Jordan #23″ is seen on the right side. A white rubber midsole and red outsole will complete the design underneath.

JJJJound is back this season for a new project with adidas, returning to the Made in Germany releases kicked off their partnership early this year. This time the Superstar gets the spotlight, cast in the same colorway as its Samba counterpart.

JJJJound has been slowly racking up new sneaker collaboration partners over the last few years, rolling out new releases with Asics and adidas this year. They are still going strong with Reebok and New Balance, with new projects coming each season from the four brands. This month, their latest work with adidas has quietly appeared online at some retailers, bringing back the Made in Germany aspect that launched their team-up with the Three Stripes.

The first JJJJ Made in Germany shoe from adidas arrived back in March, after we had a few months of teases and leaks. The silhouette of choice was the Samba, an all-around, beloved trainer that made the perfect choice for the Montreal brand. Now, the Superstar is getting the luxury treatment, sporting the exact same off-white, black, and brown color scheme as its predecessor.

Ssense currently has a few small sizes left in stock, but we are still expecting a release from both JJJJ and Confirmed in the near future. The price tag for the Made in Germany pair is set at $250.

Union Unveils a Jordan 1 High “UNC/Royal” Sample

Los Angeles’ Union is cooking up their next Jordan Brand collaboration, which will see them return to their OG release, split colorways of the Air Jordan 1 High OG. During an activation this eek, they unveiled a new “UNC/Royal” sample pair, possibly releasing soon.

After plenty of leaks, rumors, and speculation over the last year, Union finally unveiled their next Air Jordan release last week. The new project was announced via an “I’m Back”-styled press release featuring founder Chris Gibbs, obviously inspired by the legendary Michael Jordan press release announcing his return to the NBA. This week, the Los Angeles label hosted an activation that included an archive of all their Jordan releases so far, and showed off not just the new “Chicago/Shadow” AJ1 High OG, but a new sample in a “UNC/Royal” combination.

Union and Jordan have not yet announced whether this”UNC/Royal” combo style of the AJ1 High will release, but all the signs point to this pair arriving alongside its twin later this month. Union has historically released their Jordan projects in duos, starting with their now-legendary first AJ1 release back in 2018. Given that this is our first look at the new pair, it is likely that this colorway will be the Union-exclusive style for the new release, or a friends & family pair given out to friends of the brand.

UNION X AIR JORDAN 1 HIGH OG “UNC/ROYAL” RELEASE INFORMATION

Union’s next release of the Air Jordan 1 High is expected to arrive later this month, on February 28th, 2025. However, this date is currently for the “Chi/Shadow” pair, and the “UNC/Royal” style here has not been announced yet. Union usually releases their Jordan collabs in pairs, and this look will likely be a Union-exclusive color, or a friends & family release.

Anthony Edwards’ AE1 from adidas remains one of the best performance basketball shoes on the market. The two seem to be well aware of this, and are releasing more and more colorways through the rest of 2024, recently adding a “Silver Metallic” look to their calendar.

Anthony Edwards has quickly become one of the superstars of the NBA, drawing crowds at away games just to see his electric play style. The Timberwolves small forward/guard also has an endorsement deal with adidas, which brought us his first signature shoe late last year.
