Nike’s SNKRS Showcase is back this week, debuting a massive array of upcoming releases from the Swoosh throughout the rest of 2024 and into Spring 2025. Among the new silhouettes unveiled by the Nike team, they showed off a fusion of the classic Waffle style with a Tuned Air midsole, dubbed the Air Waffle Racer SP, coming this holiday season.
Last Fall, Nike debuted their SNKRS Showcase livestream event. While they have been doing live events on their SNKRS app for several years now, the Showcase was the first of its kind, giving us an early look at a massive range of new sneakers and collaborations for the coming months. By now, we’ve reached the end of the releases they showed us in the Fall, and today, the Showcase returned to give us a sneak peek at shoes coming throughout the rest of 2024 and into Spring 2025, in addition to some of their exclusive apparel offerings coming in the same time frame.
The SNKRS Showcase gave us a look at plenty of retro shoes and rereleases for the next few months, but one of our highlights was the unveiling of a few new models, namely, the Air Waffle Racer SP. The new silhouette is a fusion of the brand’s original shoe, the Waffle, with their Tuned Air midsole to create a while new look. The shoe’s upper is a one-to-one version of the Waffle Racer, a sleek, low-top nylon shoe with suede overlays, while the midsole is split between the two models its inspired by. The forefoot features classic Waffle traction, while the heel uses the air bubble and midfoot support from the TN line. Shown in a bright green color scheme with red and orange accents, several more pairs were also teased for the model’s Holiday 2024 release.

UPDATE 11/4/24: Nike has finally slated their new Air Max Waffle sneaker for release, dropping this month on November 14th. Pairs of the “Action Green” color scheme will be available via the SNKRS app for $140.
