Devin Booker, Chevy, and Nike Team Up for a Sneaker Collection

Devin Booker Chevy Nike Pack

Devin Booker’s love of vintage Chevy cars is well documented, and this season he is teaming up with the Detroit automaker and Nike for a new pack featuring his signature Book 1 and the Blazer Low.

In addition to his love of basketball, Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker is also an avid car collector, with a sprawling assortment that features both new and old models. While you might expect a highly-paid NBA star to go all-in on modern supercars, Booker is more particular with his choices, and most of his collection is made up of vintage Chevrolet models. Aside from his Ferrari 488 and Buick Grand Nationals, some of his most precious cars include a ’59 Chevy Impala, ’95 Impala SS, and a ’68 K5 Blazer, each meticulously restored and upgraded.

Devin Booker’s love of Chevy cars is going a step further this season, by teaming up with the iconic American automaker through his Nike deal, to create shoes based on Chevy colors and designs. Two models will be a part of the pack, the Blazer Low (duh), and his own Book 1 signature shoe. The former comes in a shaggy green suede with Chevy branding and hangtags, and the latter in the automobile company’s signature gold color with a striking blue logo on the tongues.

The upcoming three-way collaboration from Nike, Devin Booker, and Chevy has not been officially announced yet, but is speculated to release on April 22nd, 2025. Featuring the Blazer Low and Book 1 in Chevy-inspired looks, pairs will likely be available from both Nike channels and select retailers. New Balance’s 991v2 “Offbeat” Pack Releases in April

New Balance’s 991v2 has been an essential piece of the brand’s catalog since its introduction in late 2023. This week, we have a closer look at their “Offbeat” pack of the Made in UK runner, which arrives in April.

The 991v2 from New Balance is the latest update in a long line of different iterations on classic 990 sneakers. Introduced late in 2023 on the heels of another updated model, the 990v6, the 991 has taken over as one of the mainstays of the brand’s Made in UK line, releasing regularly in fresh new styles.

This season, the Boston brand has plans to release the “Offbeat” pack for the sleek runner, which applies some unique new color schemes to two pairs of the silhouette. Both styles make use of lilac purple and forest green for their base layers, with the tan pair using green mesh and purple mid layers. The second pair features a dark brown exterior, reversing the layering of the colorful pieces with a purple mesh and green accent.

adidas’ BW Army Trainer Returns in April

0
adidas BW Army Trainer 2025

adidas famously produced a special sneaker for the West German army back in the 1970s, the BW Army Trainer. After its Hartcopy collaboration last year, the model is coming back for an in-line retro release for Spring 2025.

Back in the 1970s, adidas produced a massive number of trainer sneakers for the West German army. The silhouette was a simple low-top sneaker with indoor soccer tooling, and durable leather uppers. When the Berlin Wall fell in 1989, the national armed forces were no longer in need of the trainers, which left thousands of pairs lying around in warehouse, eventually sold off to the masses. This made the BW Army Trainer a cult classic, and its return this year is a welcome sight for collectors.

Last year, adidas teamed up with Hartcopy to release a limited-edition pair of the BW Army Trainer, which was a fan-favorite silhouette of 2024. Now, that appears to have been a soft launch for the shoe’s official return, which begins next week. The initial colorways of the shoe pay homage to the originals, with rich, premium leather paired with a suede toe cap and leather sock liners. One pair features an all-black build with gum soles, and the second comes in shades of white with the same gum sole.

Releasing in two premium leather styles, black/gum and white/gum, pairs will likely get a wider Three Stripes release soon. Price tags are set at $150.

Nike’s Zoom Spididon Cage “Blue Tint” Arrives in Summer 2025

0
Nike Spiridon Cage 2 Blue Tint IH2037-100

Nike’s Air Zoom Spiridon Cage 2 has reappeared in the Swoosh’s catalog over the last year, after a brief retro run in 2020. The speedy runner will continue to get new releases this Summer, including a smooth “Blue Tint” color scheme.

Nike’s Cage 2 edition of the Spiridon first landed on shelves back in 2003. Based on the iconic Spiridon model from 1997, the original was designed by Christian Tresser, a legendary Nike team member who also dreamt up the Air Max 97. The Cage 2 variation was created by another legend in sneaker design, Steven Smith, who created some classic shoes for Nike, New Balance, and the adidas Yeezy line.

The Spiridon Cage 2’s reintroduction came in 2020, and kicked off with a Stüssy collab before releasing in a handful of standard-issue colorways, and was quickly shelved before making a quiet return in 2024. Now, with a small arsenal of new colors currently available, a “Blue Tint” style for Summer has surfaced. This pair features a crisp white body for the shoe’s mesh base and swooping overlays, adding the pale blue shade to the Swooshes and the midsole cage system which gives the shoe its name.

Travis Scott’s “Limelight” Nike Zoom Field Jaxx is Coming Soon

Travis Scott and Nike had a big weekend during ComplexCon this past weekend, showing off a wealth of past and future projects. Among them was a new “Limelight” colorway of the Zoom Field Jaxx, expected to release this holiday season.

Travis Scott’s signature shoes with Nike have been a long time coming. Both the Jordan Jumpman Jack and the Nike Zoom Field Jaxx originally began to surface in leaked samples back in 2023, and it wasn’t until this Summer that we finally saw release of the Jordan style. Then, during this weekend’s ComplexCon and accompanying CactusCon for Travis in Las Vegas, the two had an entire museum dedicated to the artist’s work with Nike.

The event also included the debut of the Zoom Field Jaxx, a new trainer loosely based on the Spiridon runner, but adapted to Scott’s style. The “Light Chocolate” pair was made available in limited numbers, but they also gave us an early look at a “Limelight” style coming soon. This pair features a bright green base layer, adding chocolate brown and ivory accents for an eye-catching new look.

Where to Buy the Yuto Horigome x Nike SB Dunk Low “Matcha”

Yuto Horigome released his debut collaboration with Nike SB last year, one of the most popular Dunk releases of 2023. Now, he is running it back, dressing the model in a new “Asparagus” colorway for 2025.

Yuto Horigome is one of the hottest skaters on the planet at the moment. Born in Tokyo, Japan, the 25-year-old phenom is the first person to ever win the Olympic Gold Medal for skateboarding in the 2020 games, and is looking to reprise that win this Summer at the 2024 events. Then, last year, Yuto released his first signature sneakers with his footwear sponsor, Nike SB. The muted take on the Dunk Low was wildly popular when it was released in August and has kept a high resale price in the time since. Now, we have an early look at a second Horigome Dunk Low. This pair is dubbed “Asparagus”, and while keeping the details of the OG, swaps materials and colors for an exciting new look. The pair features a cream-white base with green speckled suede for the outer layers, a brown woodgrain texture wrapping around the heels, and dark green Swooshes to finish it off.

White Mountaineering & Reebok Unite for Two Classic Leather Styles

0

White Mountaineering is a Japanese brand that explores the outdoors through an urban, utilitarian lens. This season, the brand has teamed up with Reebok to reimagine the Classic Leather, coming soon in brown & grey colorways.

White Mountaineering is no stranger to sneaker collaborations, having released an assortment of exciting projects in the last decade. The Japanese label was a part of the early adidas NMD craze, helping to pioneer the model’s City Sock edition in 2016, before moving on to work with the Terrex division, and more recently, Saucony. This season, they are reuniting with Reebok, to deliver a two-pack of the Classic Leather.

White Mountaineering’s take on the Reebok Classic Leather brings some of their unique touches to the iconic trainer. The toe and midfoot base panels feature a triangular pattern printed across them, while each suede overlay features a white backing layer, giving each piece its own small trim outline. Pairs will be available in two colorways, one in shades of grey and the other in shades of light brown, and feature premium textiles and co-branding.
