New Balance Mixes Shades of Green for a New 991v2

New Balance’s 991v2 has been an essential piece of the brand’s catalog since its introduction in late 2023. This week, a new style of the Made in England runner has surfaced on release calendars, dressed in a vivid lime green suede.

The 991v2 model from New Balance has been one of their most exciting heritage silhouettes since its introduction nearly two years ago. Building on an iconic original design from 2001, the v2 version keeps the same classic look as its predecessor, adjusting some of the paneling and giving the shape a more sleek, forward-leaning stance. The Boston brand has also kept things fresh with a wide range of unique colors and special collaborations.

This week, a new style of the updated runner has started to appear on release calendars from overseas retailers, with a drop scheduled for early July. The new take brings another colorful palette to life, once again focused on shades of green. The look begins with a dark, forest green shade for its mesh base layer, adding leather midlayers in a light grey shade for the toes and tongues. The shoe’s outer layers are constructed in suede, and dyed in a bright lime green shade, with darker gunmetal grey accents for the N logos and 991 branding. Finally, the midsole adds small hits of orange for the Abzorb cushioning.

New Balance Revisits “Brandied Apricot” For Another 991v2

New Balance is still hot on their 991v2, an update to the 2001 runner that premiered at the end of 2023. Several colorways are slated to drop for the Summer season, now including a smooth “Brandied Apricot” color scheme.

New Balance has been on a roll with their 991v2 this year, the updated version of the 2001 running shoe. The model has been a hot canvas for their collaborative efforts since its introduction late in 2023, and has filled out their in-line Made in England catalog with several new colors each since, making it one of the most abundant premium NB sneakers as of late. With Summer colors in style, the Boston brand has been releasing some exciting new pairs, with more on the way this month.

The latest look for the Made in England 991v2 brings another bright, colorful palette to the modernized running shoe, centered around a “Brandied Apricot” shade. The color first appeared on a tonal edition of the sneaker last Summer, but has been revised for an interesting new look this season. The style begins with a dark plum purple mesh for the base layer, adding the soft pink hue for the suede overlays. Accents in metallic silver separate the two layers, while small hints of olive green and orange complete the look.

Nike’s Air Max Plus VII Returns in Fall 2025

Nike almost certainly has some surprises in store for us this year, but one of them just leaked a bit ahead of schedule. This Fall, the Air Max Plus’s VII variant is expected to return in its OG “Varsity Maize” color scheme.

Nike has been on a roll with their Air Max Plus retro for the last few years. The model, which originally debuted as a Footlocker exclusive in 1998, celebrated its twenty-fifth anniversary in 2023, but has continued to pop up in new and classic styles since. Now, the Swoosh appears to be preparing to retro a variant of the beloved model later this year, the Air Max Plus VII.

Nike’s VII variant of the Air Max Plus made its debut back in 2005, seven years after the original. The shoe retained most of the features of its predecessor, but revised the pattern across the upper to resemble water droplets of stippled dots for a sleek new look. This year, the Swoosh is preparing to roll out the model once again, including one of their original “Varsity Maize” color schemes from the mid-2000s, complete with a metallic silver dot pattern.

New Balance’s 992 in “Marsh Green” Arrives in July 2025

New Balance’s 992 has returned to their Made in USA lineup this season, after the model was holstered for the last few years. This week, a clean “Marsh Green” look from the Teddy Santis-led division has surfaced, coming soon.

New Balance’s 992 silhouette had quite a moment in 2020, as the Boston brand’s retro stylings were hitting peak popularity. The 2006 model was at the epicenter of their catalog for that year, appearing in tons of in-line and Made in USA releases as well as a wide range of collaborations. In 2022, the model was put on the back burner, disappearing from release calendars for a few years until returning to the MiUSA line in 2024.

Now, we have plenty of new releases for the 992 to look forward to, with this week bringing us an official look at some new seasonal styles coming in July. The pair seen here is a smooth “Marsh Green” colorway, which adds some traditionally collegiate colors to an otherwise fresh white sneaker. The mesh base comes in a cream or off-white shade, adding sheer white panels for the shoe’s exterior. The suede mid layers come in a lush forest green shade, with navy blue accents for the various branding elements. Finally, icy blue Abzorb cushioning pods appear throughout the midsole.

The adidas Dame 10 Debuts in a “Dame’s Light” Color in July

Damian Lillard is reaching a historic milestone with his adidas signature line this year, the Dame 10. Unveiled at the NBA All-Star Weekend this month, the new silhouette debuts in June with the “Dame’s Light” color scheme.

Damian Lillard’s sneaker line with adidas is one of the most popular, and longest running athlete signatures for the brand. Tied with James Harden for their product lines’ longevity, both on their ninth iteration, the Dame series has had some fun releases over the years, including several projects with BAPE. This past weekend, at an NBA All-Star event, adidas unveiled the next release for Lillard, the Dame 10.

Damian Lillard’s tenth signature sneaker with adidas arrives this Summer, and packs some fun details into a compact design. The new model appears to feature the same mid-level cut collar as its predecessors, and adds a series of wavy line to the upper that span the perimeter of the silhouette. The collar portion of the “Dame’s Light” color scheme shown at the event comes in black, while the rest of the shoe comes in a Lime Burst green shade with a bright orange toe section. However, the most remarkable part of this new model is its price tag, a staggeringly cheap $90. While you are still likely getting your money’s worth performance wise, this new accessible price tag is a 30% reduction from the ninth model.

The 2025 Air Jordan 3 “Pure Money” is Now Available

The Air Jordan 3 “Pure Money” is set to make a bold return in 2025, nearly two decades after its original release in 2007. This iconic sneaker stands out with its clean, all-white upper, complemented by silver accents on the tongue and heel. The signature elephant print around the laces adds a luxurious touch to the otherwise minimalist design, giving the shoe a high-end look.

The 2025 version of the “Pure Money” stays true to its original aesthetic but adds modern appeal. The design reflects the sneaker’s lifestyle era, pushing boundaries beyond performance wear. The white-on-white theme may appear simple, but details like the chrome Jumpman logo on the tongue elevate the shoe’s status. Its timeless design makes it perfect for collectors who appreciate both classic and understated styles.

What makes the Air Jordan 3 “Pure Money” even more special is its historical significance. This release not only celebrates the model’s original debut but also honors Jordan Brand’s 40th anniversary. While a similar “Silver Anniversary” edition dropped in 2010, the 2025 release marks the first true retro of the original colorway. Collectors will find this an exciting release, especially in contrast to other upcoming models like the Jordan 3 “Black Cat.”

Lil Yachty Teases His Nike Air Force 1 Low in a “Green Croc” Build

Lil Yachty’s takes on the Nike Air Force 1 continue to stack up, with more releases expected throughout 2025. This week, we have another look at the “Green Croc” leather edition, a pair that was originally teased in late 2024.

Lil Yachty has been an active member of the sneaker community for years, appearing on a range of sneaker-related podcasts and Complex’s annual SOTY panel for several years running. Despite this, the artist just released his first collaboration with Nike in 2024, taking on the iconic Air Force 1 and dressing it in several different colorways in the name of his Concrete Boys crew. The latest pair came in a green, yellow, and red patent leather look, and today, we have a closer look at a style he first teased late in 2024.

Back in December, Lil Yachty shared a teaser at a new style of his Nike Air Force 1 “Concrete Boys”. The debut release had arrived just days before, and had started a conversation about the quality and effort put into collaborative shoes. This pair, the “Green Croc” look, took the Concrete Boys edition into the stratosphere, decking out the shoe’s upper in a dark green crocodile leather with patent leather accents, and of course the CB logo on the heel. Since then, we’ve had no word about the shoe’s official release, but new images continue to pop up every couple months.

LIL YACHTY X NIKE AIR FORCE 1 LOW “GREEN CROC” RELEASE INFORMATION

The latest pair of Lil Yachty’s Concrete Boys Nike Air Force 1 has not been announced for release yet, but will hopefully land on shelves sometime in 2025. The new edition covers the entire upper in a glossy green crocodile leather, with black patent heel tabs and black making up the rest of the design.

First Look a Devin Booker’s Nike Book 2 Signature Shoe

Nike released Devin Booker’s first signature shoe in 2023, and have been dishing out new colors of the model for the last two years. Today, we finally have an early look at the Book 2, coming in Spring 2026.

Devin Booker’s debut signature shoe with Nike, the Book 1, AKA the Book Chapter 1, originally debuted during the Holiday 2023 season. The shoe features a number of details inspired directly by actual books, like the heel tab resembling a stack of pages. However, the most interesting part of the shoe’s run so far has been their use of it as a canvas for Booker and the Nike team to pay homage to Swoosh classics, decorating the shoes in colorways inspired by other models like the Forrest Gump Cortez, ACG Mowabb, and Neon AM95.

This source of inspiration will reportedly continue with the Book 2, which is currently expected to debut next year. The new model, which appeared in leaked Nike documents today, shows a similar design to the current gen model, but with a higher boot-like cut for the collar. The simple midsole and upper are still present, with added details like visible lacing systems and a mudguard panel. Among the new Nike Classics listed as inspiration is the Air Zoom Spiridon’s “Sport Red” style, which will reportedly look nearly identical to the OG Spiridon, just in a Book 2 shape.

NIKE BOOK 2 RELEASE INFORMATION

The second signature shoe from Devin Booker and Nike is not making its debut this year, likely getting its first public release in Spring of 2026, with this tan look penciled for January 1st, 2026. The new model, with a higher cut and boot-like design, will still pay homage to classic Nike shoes with special colorways. Pricing is expected to be about $150.
