Action Bronson Debuts his New Balance 992 in “Cosmic Rose” Pink

0

Action Bronson has been cooking up a series of New Balance 992 colorways for a while now. This week, we finally got our first look at the second pair, dressing the shoe in an eye-catching palette based around a “Cosmic Rose” pink hue.

Action Bronson’s collaborations with New Balance have been some of the top sneaker highlights for the past few years. Baklava’s eclectic taste in sneaker design has given us some colorful and exciting takes on the 990v6, 1906R, and even the Minimus trail shoe. This year, the rapper has been teasing his next project, a batch of colorways for the fan-favorite 992 Made in USA. One pair from the collection was already teased at an event earlier this year, dressed in brown suede with blue and orange accents for a “Knicks” look. Now, Bronson’s second pair has emerged.

This week, Action Bronson attended the premiere of Caught Stealing, the latest Darren Aronofsky film starring Austin Butler and Matt Smith. Stepping onto the red carpet with his wife, Baklava was sporting a previously unseen pair of the NB 992, dressed in a bold pink color scheme. The shoe was quickly identified as one of his upcoming releases, presumably the “Cosmic Rose” style. The look features a muted orange mesh underlay, paired with a mix of pink shades for the overlays. Blue accents can be spotted on the heels, while a grey tongue and matching laces complete the look.

ACTION BRONSON X NEW BALANCE 992 “COSMIC ROSE” RELEASE INFORMATION

The second pair of Action Bronson’s take on the New Balance 992 has not been announced yet, but hopefully will arrive before the end of 2025. Dressed in bright shades of Cosmic Rose and Magenta pink for this style, pairs will likely be available through both the Baklava website and New Balance, with a potential wider release from select retailers. The price tag for this release is expected to be set at $250.

Nike’s Air Max 95 Takes on “Solar Red” for Fall 2025

Nike’s anniversary celebration for the Air Max 95 is well underway by now, with tons of exciting releases already available. Today, we have an early look at a new “Solar Red” edition of the retro runner, coming soon.

Back in 2020, Nike celebrated twenty-five years of their iconic Air Max 95 running shoe. The silhouette has been a fan favorite since its debut, thanks to its wavy, layered upper that is ripe for unique and detailed color schemes. The model is back in 2025, following in the footsteps of the Air Max 1 by restoring its Air bags to the shoe’s original design, making them bigger to provide more cushioning.

The rollout of Nike’s remastered AM95 has brought us a range of new and retro styles for the iconic silhouette already, and new pairs continue to pop up each month. This week, we have an early look at a new “Solar Red” edition, which continues their trend of applying new colorful accents to the model’s original gradient color scheme. As per usual, the shoe starts in white at the top, gradually fading to grey and then black at the midsole across the layered upper. The neon Solar Red shade appears on the lacing system, Swooshes, and Air Bags underfoot.

Engineered Garments & Vans OTW Present Asymmetrical Styles of the Slip-On

0

New York purveyor of excellent clothing Engineered Garments has announced their latest sneaker collaboration this week. Reuniting with Vans and their OTW division for this project, the pack features two asymmetrical styles of the Slip-On.

Engineered Garments has been producing some of our favorite apparel since its founding in 1999. Created by Daiki Suzuki, a Japanese designer, the brand calls New York City home, and pulls inspiration for all of their work from a blend of both American and Japanese influences. Their signature massively oversized fits are paired with highly detailed constructions, and then mixed in fun, unique color blockings and finally, so, so many pockets.

EG regularly teams up with a variety of brands for special collaborations, but their footwear releases are few and far between. The last sneaker collab we saw from them was with Reebok in early 2024. This week, they’ve announced a new Vans project, releasing tomorrow. Featuring the classic Slip-On silhouette, the shoe is dressed in two asymmetrical color schemes. The look is inspired by an archival Vans advertisement, where a skater was shot wearing two different colored Authentics, stating that he’d switched one shoe with a friend who rode in an opposite stance.

ENGINEERED GARMENTS X VANS OTW SLIP-ON RELEASE INFORMATION

The latest project from Engineered Garments and Vans’ OTW division has been scheduled to release tomorrow, August 28th, 2025. Featuring the iconic Slip-On model in two asymmetrical color blockings, pairs will be available through the Vans website, as well as select retailers that carry both EG and OTW. Pricing for this project is set at $100 each.

Where to Buy the 2025 Undefeated x Air Jordan 4 Retro

Jordan Brand has released hundreds of iconic colorways of their massive arsenal of sneakers over the last four decades, but only few have risen to the top as the best of the best. One of these is Undefeated’s take on the Air Jordan 4, a grail-worthy pair released in ultra-limited numbers back in 2005. Now, rumors have begun that the iconic look will return in 2025 for its twentieth anniversary.

Founded in 2002, Undefeated has become a staple of the story of streetwear over the last two decades. The Los Angeles-based retail chain has become a go-to hub for sneakers and apparel in each city where their stores reside, and have even extended across the Pacific Ocean to build a strong presence in Japan and China. Familiarly known as UNDFTD, the brand has also built a strong relationship with Nike over the years, regularly collaborating on some of the Swoosh’s iconic silhouettes from Dunk to Air Forces to Kobe sneakers. However, one project of theirs stands above the rest as a true piece of sneaker history.

In 2005, Undefeated became the first boutique retailer to collaborate with Jordan Brand. They crafted a special release of the Air Jordan 4 inspired by the MA-1 military flight jacket, casting the shoe in olive green nubuck, with black and orange accents, and a velcro tongue patch as an added nod to the iconic coat. Limited to just 72 pairs total, the shoe’s were remarkably hard to get, and to this day have sold for up to $18,000. Now, rumors have begun to surface that the special-edition pair will see a rerelease in Spring 2025. Nothing concrete has been confirmed yet, but the twentieth anniversary of such an iconic silhouette is cause for celebration.

UNDEFEATED X AIR JORDAN 5 2025 RELEASE INFORMATION

The iconic pair of the Air Jordan 4 from Undefeated returns on June 28th, 2025. This is the shoe’s twentieth anniversary. Pairs will likely be available from select Jordan Brand retailers as well as Nike’s SNKRS app and Undefeated, with a price tag above $225. Check out the photos of the 2005 release below for a better look, and stay tuned to JustFreshKicks for more Jordan release news, like the “First in Flight” AJ1 releasing in July.

UPDATE 7/21/25: Undefeated has officially teased the return of their Air Jordan 4, sharing a link to a website undaj4.com and a release date of August 2nd, 2025. There is currently not much to do on the site other than sign up for updates, but we expect more details very soon.

UPDATE 5/30/35: More in-hand images of the Undefeated x Air Jordan 4 are here this week, along with a delayed release date, now set for August 28th, 2025.

UPDATE 4/21/25: New photos of the Undefeated Jordan 4 are here, showing off the shoe’s special packaging. The pair seen here is the version with Nike Air logos on the heels.

UPDATE 3/6/25: We have our first look at the Undefeated x Air Jordan 4 retro rumored to return this year. Only one photo is available at the moment, but hopefully we will see more before the rumored June release date.

UPDATE 1/2/25: Two different versions of Undefeated’s AJ4 retro are now expected to release; one will have the Jumpman logos on the heels and the other will have the classic Nike Air branding, which did not come on the original release. There are still no photos of the “Deep Green” style, and we are still a ways away from the expected June release.

The Air Jordan 1 High ’85 “Reverse Shadow” is (No Longer?) a Japan Exclusive

Jordan Brand is bringing out the “Reverse Shadow” colorway yet again in 2025, this time in the form of the Air Jordan 1 ’85, for the silhouette’s fortieth anniversary. No official information is available yet, but they will likely echo the OG unreleased sample and 2021 style closely.

Jordan Brand’s current top-tier version of the AJ1, the ’85 edition, has been their canvas to launch some iconic styles of the legendary sneaker, a fair few of which have never seen a public release, or at least a retro since their releases in 1985 and 1986. One of these styles just got a rumored release in 2025; the “Reverse Shadow” pair, originally sampled but never released with the first wave of Michael Jordan’s first signature shoe. The color scheme, which flips the grey and black panels of the OG Shadow look, did get a release back in 2021 with the standard-issue variant of the AJ1 High OG. Now, the remastered, retooled ’85 edition will be taking on the color palette to engineer the shoe as closely as possible to its original format.

AIR JORDAN 1 HIGH ’85 “REVERSE SHADOW” RELEASE INFORMATION

Jordan Brand’s next release of a “Reverse Shadow” Air Jordan 1 High has not been announced for release yet, but is currently rumored to arrive sometime in Summer 2025. The ’85 edition of the silhouette will likely be available in limited supply, releasing from Nike’s SNKRS platform and select retailers for an expected $200. Check out the original sample below and the mock-up above for a better idea of what to expect, and stay tuned to JustFreshKicks for more Jordan release news, like the “Oxidized Green” AJ1 Low coming soon.

Style Code: HV6674-020
Release Date: July 31st, 2025 (Japan only), August 27th, 2025 (Foot District)
Price: $200

UPDATE 8/26/25: After previously releasing exclusively in Japan last month, alongside the Bandai mini AJ1 figures, the “Reverse Shadow” Air Jordan 1 has now surfaced from European retailer Foot District, releasing tomorrow via a raffle. Hopefully this means we will get a stateside release in the near future.

UPDATE 7/24/25: Unfortunately, this AJ1 High 85 release is now expected to be a Japan-exclusive drop. There is a pop-up event in Shibuya and a raffle from V.A. Tokyo open here, but so far no word on a global drop.

UPDATE 3/31/25: Official images are here, but still no release date.

UPDATE 3/4/25: The first look at the AJ1 High ’85 “Reverse Shadow” is here this week, ahead of its expected debut this Summer.

Kobe’s 2006 Air Force 1 “Denim” PE Releases as a Protro in 2026

Kobe Nike Air Force 1 Protro Denim IM1980-400

Kobe Bryant donned a ton of iconic Nike shoes when he first switched to the brand in the early 2000s. In 2006, Bryant was given a special PE pair of the Air Force 1 clad in Denim. Now, the shoe is rumored to release to the public in a Protro format next Summer.

Back in 2003, Kobe Bryant officially joined Nike, after releasing a short run of signature sneakers with adidas. The rest is history, with the Mamba releasing a total of twelve signature sneakers with the Swoosh, as well as a huge range of special projects and collaborations. Kobe was a fan of the Air Force 1, and had a number of special player exclusive models under his belt for wear off the court. Among them is an iconic style from 2006, the “Denim” look, which has remained a one off pair from Nike for the last twenty years.

However, rumors this week tell us that the “Denim” Air Force 1 will officially release to the public in Summer 2026. This release will mark twenty years since the model was originalyl spotted on Kobe’s feet, but this time, the silhouette will come in the new Protro format. This newly updated version made its debut last month in the “Pale Yellow” Kobe edition, and features a full-length drop-in midsole made from ReactX cushioning. The shoe will once again don the mix if light and dark wash denim, featuring orange stitching accents, frayed edged, and the KB logo embroidered on the heels.

Basketcase Unveils Three New Balance 204L Samples

0

During Paris Fashion Week, LA brand Basketcase showed off a special-edition pair of the New Balance 204L. The grey pony hair look was a F&F exclusive, but now they are teasing their general release pairs of the silhouette, coming soon.

This Summer, New Balance introduced a brand new silhouette to their catalog, the 204L. The model combines the classic NB aesthetic with the trend of super slim, small sneakers through its barely-there rubber midsole. The model made its debut through a collaboration with Kith this month, along with a Paris Fashion Week appearance from AURALEE. The sneaker made its in-line debut this week with a “Mushroom” color scheme, with more in-line styles on the way soon.

In another Paris Fashion Week preview, LA brand Basketcase showed off their take on the 204L in their showroom. Dressed in grey pony hair, the pair is a friends & family exclusive, though they stated that a general release is on the way soon. Now, the Basketcase team has teased what these pairs for the public might look like. Showing off three samples, each one features a different mix of materials. First up, a pony hair style in black and white adds glossy patent leather to the toe box. The second pair comes entirely in black, featuring what appears to be a suede build with a pattern throughout the underlay. Finally, the remaining pair comes in a classic NB mesh and synthetic styling, dressed in white with metallic silver accents.

BASKETCASE X NEW BALANCE 204L RELEASE INFORMATION

Los Angeles-based Basketcase has yet to formally announce their public release of the New Balance 204L. However, they stated during Paris Fashion Week that the project would arrive later in 2025. Teasing three colorways this week, it’s unclear if they are just samples or if all three styles will be available to the general public.

Supreme x Air Force 1 Lows Releasing Fall 2025

Supreme and Nike continue their iconic partnership with an exciting release of two collaborative Air Force 1 Low designs. This 2025 drop celebrates their long-standing legacy by offering updated takes on the timeless sneaker silhouette. Featuring bold contrasts and signature branding, the collection includes two striking colorways: “White/Black” and “Black/White.”

The “White/Black” pair is crafted with premium white tumbled leather, offering a clean yet striking aesthetic. The bold black Swoosh branding adds contrast to the design, making it stand out. Signature Supreme touches elevate the sneaker further, such as the iconic red-and-white box logo on the lateral heel and branded lace dubraes. Co-branded insoles complete the refined yet edgy look.

For the “Black/White” edition, the design flips the script with a sleek black tumbled leather upper. A crisp white Swoosh offers sharp contrast, creating a timeless monochromatic aesthetic. Like the white version, this pair also features Supreme’s logo on the heel and complementary co-branded details on the laces and insoles.

These sneakers combine Nike’s craftsmanship with Supreme’s iconic streetwear ethos. The premium leather construction and bold accents make these Air Force 1 Lows an essential addition to any sneaker collection. The Nike ACG UltraFly 2 Releases in Spring 2026

0

UPDATE 8/25/25: Nike ACG has provided another look at their upcoming UltraFly 2 trail runner this week. After hosting a hill climb race in Chamonix, France over the weekend, the ACG team shared new photos of a weartest sample of the new silhouette. Now having logged two years of extensive field testing including over 30,000 miles run across seven countries, the UltraFly is expected to release in Spring 2026.

Performance running has been the heart and soul of Nike and their drive for innovation since the brand was founded over fifty years ago. This year, the ACG team will introduce their next era of trail running with the UltraFly 2, coming this Summer.

Back in 2023, Nike released the UltraFLy through their Trail division, a team dedicated to crafting trail running sneakers and apparel, but more performance focused than ACG. The model incorporated some of Nike’s best technology, including a lightweight Vapor Weave bonded upper and ZoomX midsole. Now, the UltraFLy reins have seemingly been handed over to the ACG team, which will release the shoe’s second iteration under their banner.

Nike ACG taking over a model from another performance division is an interesting move. This could signal that the Trail lineup as a whole could now be placed under the ACG purview, though this remains to be seen. The new UltraFLy 2 has started to pop up on the feet elite athletes in competition, and we finally have a closer look this week. The new model features a thick midsole unit with tons of cushioning foam, secured with a Vibram outsole for maximum grip. The upper appears to feature a new Haptic Drain system or material, though it is unclear what exactly this new tech does.

NIKE ACG ULTRAFLY 2 RELEASE INFORMATION

Nike’s ACG team has not yet announced the release of their latest performance trail running shoe, but the UltraFly 2 is expected to release sometime in Spring 2025. Pairs will likely be available from both Nike and select retailers. Pricing for this new model is currently unknown.

The Nike Astrograbber Dons a Simple Black & Muslin Palette

0

After releasing in two separate projects with Bode, Nike’s Astrograbber is finally rejoining the brand’s in-line catalog, with the first pairs arriving via SNKRS this week. Today, another standard-issue style has emerged, dressing the archival model in a black & muslin palette.

Way back in 1974, Nike introduced the Astrograbber to their performance shoe offerings. In response to the growing trend of Astroturf replacing natural grass in professional sports, athletes needed a new shoe that could grip the plastic material and provide better traction on the new surface. The Astrograbber was the Swoosh’s answer, hence the name, and was inspired by Bill Bowerman’s experiments with the iconic waffle sole.

The model was revived in early 2024 when Nike teamed up with Bode for a special capsule collection, and the two released another set of pairs early in 2025. This week, Nike has their first in-line styles of the retro shoes hitting shelves, and today, another pair has joined their Fall release slate. The latest look ditches the colorful hues of this week’s releases in favor of a simple, neutral palette. The upper comes in a crisp black leather with minimal stitching, while the rest of the silhouette comes in a creamy-white Muslin tone.

NIKE ASTROGRABBER “BLACK/MUSLIN” RELEASE INFORMATION

Nike is releasing their first in-line pairs of the Astrograbber retro tomorrow, though there is currently no set date for this clean black & off-white colorway. Originally designed as a turf shoe for football players, the silhouette now comes in premium leathers. Pairs will be available from both Nike and select retailers, and are expected to come with a $160 price tag.

The Nike Kobe 3 Low Protro Releases in “Halo” White in 2026

After a big weekend of Kobe releases, Vanessa Bryant has shared an early look at a new silhouette coming next year, the Kobe 3 Low Protro. Debuted on the feet of friends & family, the silhouette dons a clean “Halo” white colorway for its debut.

This weekend, Nike unleashed a huge wave of Kobe releases. The brand opened up the vaults to give us another shot at a ton of releases from the past year, all routed through the SNKRS app. Some cities got SNKRS Pass drops, while the rest of us had access to shipping options for plenty of styles. Additionally, Nike introduced the SNKRS Reserve initiative, where select users could pre-order upcoming releases. In addition to all the sales, Vanessa Bryant shared an early look at a special new release, coming next year.

After appearing at an event wearing a Swarovski-covered pair of the Kobe 3 Protro in “Halo” white, Vanessa Bryant took to Instagram to show off an exciting new entry in the Kobe family, the Kobe 3 Low Protro. The preview showed off the revised silhouette in the now-beloved triple white color scheme, and presumably features all the same updates to the retro model that Nike developed for the high-top version. No further details about this pair are available yet, other than that they will release in 2026.

NIKE KOBE 3 LOW PROTRO “HALO” RELEASE INFORMATION

Nike has not yet officially announced the debut of their Kobe 3 Low Protro, though the new model is slated to arrive sometime in 2026. The new low-top variant of the iconic model will don a “Halo” white colorway as a part of its initial release lineup, and will be available from both Nike and select retailers. No pricing information for the shoe is available yet.

Nike’s Air Max Sunder Takes on a new “Persian Violet” Pattern

After returning late last year, Nike has released an impressive array of colors for the Air Max Sunder. In 2025, they’ve begun to riff on the cult classic, adding new patterns and materials. This Fall, a new style with a “Persian Violet” tie-dye pattern is set to release.

Nike’s turn-of-the-century running shoes might be some of the most innovative work in the brand’s history. The Alpha Project spawned a wide range of sneaker that have since become cult classics, many of which are back on shelves today (or never left, in the case of the Air Presto). Air Max family members Sunder and Craze are both back on shelves, twenty-five years after their debut. The Sunder is even getting some wild new variants, with fresh styles coming soon.

The latest pair of the Air Max Sunder to emerge brings a tie-dye style pattern to the silhouette’s neoprene upper. While the bulk of the shoe is cast in an inky black Off-Noir shade, the upper portions of the shoe mix shades of pale Pink Foam and Persian Violet, in a pattern that appears to be directly inspired by tie-dyeing techniques. The shoe’s TPU ventilation panels come in a faint pink shade, while vivid purple Swooshes round out the look.

NIKE AIR MAX SUNDER “PERSIAN VIOLET” RELEASE INFORMATION

Nike’s latest colorful style for the Air Max Sunder has not yet been announced for release yet, but is expected to arrive in Fall 2025. Featuring a tie-dye-styled pattern across the upper in shades of purple, the look adds Off Noir and Pink Foam accents to round out the new look. Pairs will be available through both Nike and select retailers for $190.
