This week, Nike announced a new project with Nordstrom’s Olivia Kim, giving the creative VP a chance to remodel five of the all-time fan-favorite Swoosh silhouettes, from the Jordan 4 to the Air Footscape.

Nike’s womens releases have slowly been heating up over the past few years, finally addressing the fact that cool sneaker can be made in all sizes. This week, the Swoosh unveiled one of their most impressive women’s project to date, teaming up with Nordstrom’s VP of Creative Projects Olivia Kim on a collection of five of the most revered Nike silhouettes. Spanning a range of sports and brands, from Jordan to vintage Nike runners, the collection is inspired by the New York City club scene of the 1990s, with each shoe representing a different kind of party.

The centerpiece of Olivia Kim’s new Nike collection is almost certainly the black pony hair Air Jordan 4. Originally leaked much earlier this year, the luxurious take on the legendary sneaker was originally thought to be a stand-alone women’s release before being officially unveiled as a part of this collection. Next up is the Air Force 1, a staple of NYC. For Olivia’s take, she’s gone with a corduroy construction featuring a royal blue body and golden Swoosh and accents. Two old school runners are featured in the collection, the Air Max 98 and the Air Footscape. The former features a gradient color scheme scross the upper, transitioning from red to yellow to green, while the latter is decorated in a smooth suede zebra print. Finally, the Air Mowabb rounds out the collection in a rugged black & brown palette with colorful red and blue accents.

Nike’s new 90s club-inspired collection with Olivia Kim is scheduled to make its debut later this month on October 31st, 2019, followed shortly by a wider global release on November 8th. The initial drop will take place via the SNKRS app, with sizes likely to be focused in the womens’ range, as well as above average retail prices.
