OBJ has earned the right to be one of Nike’s top sponsored athletes. An athletic phenomenon and fashion guru, Odell has quietly become one of Nike’s most influential athletes. As he lets his plays on the field and the clothes he wears before and after the game do all the talking, Beckham has gathered up a fan base that consists of not only football fans but hypebeasts and fashion enthusiasts as well. Collaborating with Nike for cleats he has also dabbled into the Air Max 270 and now the Joyride Flyknit.
Adding his take to one of Nike’s newest technological shoes, the silhouettes both pay homage to his humble beginnings. On the translucent upper strap, “Baton Rogue-Louisianna” his hometown and “Best After 05/19/14”- the date he signed his first NFL contract with the New York Giants are written in. The pairs arrive in “Black/Bright Crimson-Volt” and “Atmosphere Grey/Lime Blast” for two already classic iterations. Solidifying the collaboration, OBJ is also featured on the clear strap that flows over the midfoot.
