Nintendo’s Super Mario 64 is celebrating its 35th anniversary in 2020, and that calls for some special new projects. This week, PUMA has unveiled their contribution to the game’s anniversary, decking out the RS-Dreamer in a new Mario-inspired look.

PUMA Hoops’ RS-Dreamer sneaker made its debut last month, and already is one of the brand’s premier new styles. Designed in collaboration with J. Cole, and meant to bridge the gap between performance and style, the RS-Dreamer achieves this goal through a low-top silhouette constructed from mesh, suede, and leather, and featuring a combination of some of PUMA’s most advanced technologies, from the Running System tooling for comfort to the ProFoam midsole for better on-court feel. This week, PUMA has announced their latest release of the RS-Dreamer, which sees them teaming up with Nintendo to celebrate 35 years of Super Mario 64. The special-edition colorway paints most of the Dreamer’s upper in bright red, with royal blue suede overlays along the toe and a few hints across the midsole. Dashes of yellow nod to the rest of Mario’s outfit, while Super Mario 64 branding completes the look.

PUMA’s new “Super Mario 64” release of the RS-Dreamer with Nintendo has been scheduled to drop tomorrow, on Friday, September 4th, 2020. The ode to the retro video game will be available from both PUMA and select retailers for the usual price tag of $125.
