Nike has introduced the Nike Zoom Vomero 5 Roam, a rugged and reimagined version of the classic Vomero 5. This release targets the growing demand for “gorpcore” and outdoor-minded footwear. The Vomero 5 Roam showcases significant upgrades that transform it into a durable option for both urban and outdoor environments.
The shoe features a revamped sole, which now boasts enlarged cushioning pockets designed for trail-readiness. Additionally, a TPU mudguard wraps around the entire lower half of the shoe, providing added protection. Nike also introduces a grippy black tread that extends onto the toe for superior traction.
The upper consists of water-resistant ripstop mesh, ensuring durability while maintaining breathability. Nike also integrates convenient pull tabs on the tongue and heel, along with a toggle lacing system for an easily adjustable fit. Classic Vomero elements, such as the quarter cage and TPU heel counter, remain but have been adapted to suit this new, rugged design.
