Ever since a couple of Summers ago, the Nike Waffle Racer has hit shelves like it never left, and now Nike has taken the time to update the silhouette all while keeping it as classic as possible. Check out the brand new Nike Waffle Racer 20.
Originally debuted back in 1977, the Waffle outsole seemed to never go out of style. Thanks to a great effort from sacai, Stranger Things, and other hyped sneakers, Nike’s plethora of ’70s and ’80s sneakers have found a way back on shelves again. This new shoe keeps the legacy alive as it takes old aspects of the beloved Waffle Racer and adds them to a trendier silhouette that many can get behind.
Dressed in Ghost, Light Beetroot, Light Bone, and White, this Waffle Racer 20 comes as cool as possible. Light Slate Blue paints the majority of the upper which consists of a ripstop upper, gridded texturing, suede overlays on the eyestays and heel, along with the tongue and lacing system. Yellow on the vamp then provides a nice change of scenery while brown outlines a Nike Swoosh across the side paneling. A Light Bone midsole and Waffle outsole then brings the design to a close.
