Nike will be expanding their “Exeter Edition” collection with a Waffle One that features a bright colorful variation that’s complemented by a grind waffle outsole.
The Exeter Edition collection is a special one. Creating a collection as a nod to Nike pioneer, Jeff Johnson and his care for craftsmanship and conserving excess waste, the series will be getting at least one shoe deeper with the Waffle One sporting the makeover. Featuring a mesh, nubuck, and leather makeover, the sneaker opts for a red mesh base that’s complemented by black nubuck overlays and lime green and blue leather Nike Swoosh logos. To further the colorful design, a mint heel clip and support system highlights a white midsole system which allows a grind rubber outsole to shine on the bottoms. Along with the variety of materials and colors, the rendition is a true nod to Johnson and his 1970’s futuristic vision.
