The Nike Waffle One is the latest sneaker from the Swoosh to revitalize their vintage footwear, this time revamping the classic waffle-soled shoe invented by Bill Bowerman in the ’60s. Check out the Waffle One “Crater”, coming soon.

Nike’s new Waffle One silhouette is finally here, launched originally as a special project with Social Status as well as via the brand’s Nike By You customization platform. Then, last week, the Waffle finally landed in its first in-line color scheme, which can still be found directly from Nike as well as at select retailers. This week, we are taking a look at another upcoming colorway of the brilliant Waffle One, this time bringing the new style into Nike’s “Crater” collection that rebuilds sneakers with sustainable recycled materials. The new color scheme begins with a multicolored underlay in shades of blue, volt green, and black, before adding on a mesh midlayer for structure. Black suede overlays add extra support and stability, while recycled rubber elements appear along the heels and tongues. Finally, bold Volt Swooshes adorn each side of the silhouette.
