The Nike Waffle One is the latest sneaker from the Swoosh to revitalize their vintage footwear, this time revamping the classic waffle-soled shoe invented by Bill Bowerman in the ’60s. Check out the Waffle One in simple black & white, coming soon.

Nike’s new take on the classic Waffle sneaker has yet to make its global debut, premiering last month through an extremely limited project with James Whitner’s The Whitaker Group. Since then, we have been keeping a close eye on Nike’s website as well as release calendars for any new hints regarding the release of the upcoming Waffle One, to no avail thus far. Today, however, we do have an early look at another upcoming colorway of the updated vintage runner, this time decking out the shoe in a simple black and white color scheme. As you might imagine, the color blocking here is simple. The Waffle One’s mixed material upper is almost entirely blacked out, save for the large white Swooshes on either side, and a tiny hit of reflective 3m along the mudguard.
