Introducing the Nike Spark Flyknit 1. Engineered for high-performance running, the latest innovation from the Swoosh marks the debut of Spark midsoles, featuring dual-density foams and a carbon fiber plate embedded.

Nike is all about innovation. From the creation technologies like the waffle sole and Air units, they’ve been doing this for a long time (fifty years to be exact). This month, the next new performance model from the Swoosh surfaced online, giving us a good look at the brand’s Spark midsole technology, in the form of the Spark Flyknit 1. The new silhouette begins with a layered, multi-panel Flyknit upper, seen here in a mix of ‘mushroom’ and black parts. The heel sections appears to feature a thicker, more sturdy knit, while the fore- and mid-foot sections are engineered for flexibility and breathability while maintaining a sleek profile. The retail attraction here is the Spark midsole, Featuring two different foam densities, they are sandwiched a carbon fiber plate that acts as a springboard for the wearer, enhancing energy return and rebound for longer-distance runs.
