In celebration of SNKRS being available in Europe, Nike has dedicated a full day on the Anniversary of the app for restocks of the years most coveted sneakers. This year the holiday will return exclusively for Europe and they aren’t going to be shy with the heat that’s expected to drop.
Originally starting in 2018 for the 1st Anniversary, Nike continued the tradition last year and look to be back for 2020. August 8th, being the Anniversary date, will host a variety of different restocks for SNKRS EU users. Sadly, those in the States will have to look in from the outside on the handful of hyped releases. 2018 hosted restocks of the Parra Nike Air Max 1 and a couple of different Off-White silhouettes, atmos’ Air Max collaboration, Sean Wotherspoon’s along with the Element 87 which was in demand that year. From that lineup alone you can only imagine the hype the holiday received which only set up the special day to return again in 2019 and now for the third year in 2020.
This year, although not confirmed, looks to host a variety of the years’ best drops. According to Stashed SNKRS, possibilities include the Off-White Air Jordan 5, Travis Scott x Nike SB Dunk, Off-White Air Jordan 4, Ben & Jerry Chunky Dunk, Air Jordan 1 Obsidian, Air Jordan 1 High ’85 and all three of Virgils Off-White Nike Dunks. Again, none of these are confirmed just yet, but we’ll be sure to update the post if/when they are. As far as locations, just Paris is confirmed as a city that will host SNKRS Stashes, which allow users to unlock exclusive access to releases on their phone by discovering “Stash Spots” hidden throughout the city. Due to Covid, it’s likely there will also be online releases throughout the day directly on the app in addition to the stashes.
SNKRS DAY 2020 INFORMATION
All the restocks for SNKRS Day 2020 are set to go down on August 8th, 2020 on the EU SNKRS App. Over the course of the day users will be able to secure some of the most limited recent drops through different processes such as exclusive access and SNKRS passes. As any new information is revealed we will be sure to keep you updated below.
UPDATE 8/7: Three more sneakers have been added to tomorrow’s lineup, including the Satin Snake Air Jordan 1 High, Orange Duck Camo Air Max 90 and the Banned Nike Air Ship. Also, rumored times for the restocks are posted below courtesy of Stashed SNKRS.
UPDATE 8/5: Based on the latest information, Nike will be restocking a total of 22 pairs of last years most coveted sneakers. UPDATE 8/1: As SNKRS Day quickly approaches, two Air Max 1 colorways have recently surfaced featuring the app’s well known “GOT ‘EM” tagline. The date of the event, 8/8/20, is also inscribed in the back of both shoes.
