
Black History Month is around the corner, and Nike has some special releases up their sleeve to celebrate the occasion. This week, we have our first full look at the SB Dunk Low rumored to be a part of their release slate, coming soon.
The next month is absolutely packed with special-edition sneaker releases. This month brands are rolling out their Lunar New Year offerings, with an emphasis on Year of the Snake pairs. February will include Valentine’s, NBA All-Star, and Black History Month styles, for which Nike is well prepared. This year, the SB team is reportedly releasing a Dunk Low for BHM, which we got our first full look at this week.
The storytelling behind Nike’s BHM releases has gotten more and more focused every year. While we are still waiting for he official word on the SB team’s Dunk Low release, we have some context clues thanks to the images of the insoles courtesy of @xcsnkr. The soles show a wild west landscape with a cowboy and cattle in the foreground, while the shoe itself features some cowboy boot-inspired flare around the heels. The shoe comes in a “Tourmaline” green color, named after the gemstone that was popular in California’s wild west days.

Nike SB’s upcoming special-edition release of their Dunk Low does not have a release date yet, but is expected to arrive sometime in February 2025. The “Tourmaline” green style for BHM will likely be available from both Nike’s SNKRS app and select skate shops for $135.
