The Nike Blazer Mid has been a mainstay in the Swoosh’s release patterns over the past year, thanks to an excellent ’70s-inspired rebuild and a newfound penchant for classic sneakers. Now, the SB team is delivering their take in suede with Lucky Green accents.

The Nike Blazer’s comeback has been somewhat of an extended process, beginning in part with Virgil Abloh’s deconstructed pairs back in 2016 (though to give him paramount credit would be…simply wrong). Originally releases in the early 1970s, the Blazer was a revolutionary basketball shoe, before the growing skate and BMX scene began to adopt high top leather sneakers extra protection and durability. Soon, the Blazer was a household name, beloved by both athletes and early sneakerheads alike. Now, the Blazer is back in its original ’70s form, with new skate-ready iterations from the Nike SB team releasing regularly. This week, we have an early look at a smooth new “Lucky Green” color scheme, which pits green suede Swooshes and heel tabs against an all-white suede backdrop.

The latest Blazer Mid release from the Nike SB team, which reconstructs the classic silhouette entirely in suede, has not yet been announced for release, though they are expected to land at SB retailers over the course of the next few weeks. The green-tinted pair will come with a retail price tag of just $85, and launch from both Nike and select retailers.
