Nike’s long history with skateboarding has produced some of the most iconic models to date. With a full subdivision under the Nike name, the Nike SB line now looks to shake things up with a new Air Jordan 1 Low mash-up, combining the best of two worlds.

The Jordan name has been synonymous with basketball, while Nike’s ever-expanding models have been prominent in the skateboarding world. Now, the two come together for what appears to be a Nike SB and Air Jordan 1 Low mash-up. What seems to be a leaked image, the above picture shows mixed elements of both models coming together for a brand new silhouette.

While the sneaker appears to be an Air Jordan 1 Low, the model dons a similar suede upper material predominantly found in SB shoes. A navy blue and white color block creates a clean, and fresh take on an often overlooked sneaker. The most notable of characteristics is the misplaced Jumpman found on the toe box. Nike continues to ride their misplaced/deconstructed wave and adds a subtle touch to this new model. Combining key components of both the skateboarding and basketball culture, this new model pays homage to both in a fresh new take.

NIKE SB AIR JORDAN 1 LOW RELEASE INFORMATION

While leaked images have surfaced recently, no official drop has been confirmed. Judging from Jordan’s plans to drop other Low models, speculations surround a summer 2019 date that would coincide with their other releases. No word on what the price would be, but we can expect a more affordable one as oppose to their Jordan 1 High counterpart.
