Nike’s ISPA releases have been a fan-favorite since the innovative division was first revealed to the public earlier this year. This week, they have another exciting drop on their hands with three new looks for the React Runner ISPA.
Standing for Improvise, Scavenge, Protect, and Adapt, Nike’s ISPA division was created with a very specific purpose; combining footwear with computational design. This means that instead of working through every inch of the design themselves, the ISPA team is feeding information about the shoe and the sole into a computer, and allowing it to solve problems of strength, support, and flexibility on its own. The React Runner ISPA, Nike’s third entry in the highly technical series, was recently announced to be returning next month in three new colorways, similar to the original drop. The first new colorway of the React Runner sees the sleek silhouette in a “Ghost Aqua” mesh upper with bright crimson accents resting on top of a jet black React midsole. Next up, Volt-colored React is paired with a white upper and maroon accents, while the final colorway mixes grey with dull blue for most of the shoe, completed by Nike’s new Dusty Peach orange tone.
