With College Football season quickly approaching, Nike looks to give fans the opportunity to rep their teams on their feet with school editions of the React Element 55. Joining the fun for all you Tar Heels fans, check out the classic “UNC” version that’s coming soon.
The list continues to grow as we have seen the University of Oregon, as well as Florida State, join the fun and now UNC looks to join right in. The list looks to continue to keep growing too as there are endless opportunities of what Nike can do as there are huge fan bases for many schools that would love to buy these to support their team.
Although the UNC colorway is already a popular one, seeing it for the first time on a new model is something sneakerheads love to see. As the school is Michael Jordan’s alma mater, we have become accustomed to seeing the colorway adorn Jordans and other sneakers but this is still exciting in its own way.
Arriving in grand UNC fashion the upper takes on a navy blue while powder baby blue adorns the many overlays throughout the silhouette including the Nike Swoosh. Carolina is spelled out on the tongue white a UNC logo is placed on the inner midfoot and the insole to solidify your team pride. The React midsole finishes off the look as it takes on white, navy and powder blue, creating a very clean look.

Although a release date has not been announced these are expected to drop very soon at select retailers and Nike.com for a retail price of $130.
