Nike borrows inspiration from the magpie bird with its latest iterations of the React Element 55; the bird is often found in Europe, Asia, and Western North America.
While the Nike React Element 55 has seen a huge spike in popularity, Nike has no signs of slowing down. The model has recently seen an influx in colorways that are both subtle and vibrant in design. Now, Nike is set to release two different models directly inspired by the magpie bird.
Although the silhouette is young, there has been many releases since its conception. Perhaps one of the most unique Nike react Element 55s to date, the magpie inspired shoes reflect the color scheme of the birds. Dropping in two distinct color schemes, each represents a different shade often seen in magpies birds. The first presents an overarching white color that is accentuated by details of iridescent purple. Its counterpart features a metallic-like green color across its upper while also showing hints of iridescent purple. Both pairs are also characterized by red stitching throughout its upper with “Today Is The Day” reading across its insole. One of the most notable additions are the bird logos imposed onto the back tab coinciding with its inspiration.

The two models are set to drop this upcoming August 3rd and will be expected to hit Nike.com and select retailers.
