Nike’s React cushioning has slowly been integrated into a number of new and classic models since its introduction in 2019. Now, the Swoosh is almost ready to unveil their latest signature React shoe, the Atlas, coming in 2022.

Nike React has been the Swoosh’s go-to cushioning foam since they first introduced the new midsole material a few years ago. Since then, the soft and supple foam has found its way into a wide range of Nike shoes, from performance basketball models to cushioning inserts on the Air Force 1. Now, Nike is getting ready top introduce a brand new React signature silhouette, dubbed the Atlas. The show is simple in design, featuring a nearly one-piece upper made from a 3D mesh and molded to show off some sleek and aggressive curves, giving the upper shape. This is mounted on top of a full-length React midsole which pushes the boundaries of what was previously possible with a wild new shape from the mold. The Nike React Atlas is seen here in (what we are calling) a “Northern Lights” color scheme, thanks to the dark blue, green, and red midsole accents that are reminiscent of the Aurora Borealis, or Northern Lights.
