The Nike Paul George 2 has gone all out in 2018. After the sneaker debuted as part of a special PlayStation collaboration, the OKC forward is prepping his signature shoe for the Kobe touch. Introducing the Nike PG2 “Mamba Mentality”.

Pauk George is having a field day with his new team. Though, it probably helps that he has a killer signature Nike shoe on his feet while he does it. The shoes have already been issued in a handful of exciting colorways, and it looks like Nike has more coming. PG’s sleek new signature is set to launch later this month with a new twist: inspiration from the GOAT himself, Kobe Bryant. The new “Mamba Mentality” Nike PG2 takes colorful cues from Kobe’s sneaker lines and applies them directly to the All-Star small forward’s shoe. The new Mamba colorway swathes the upper in a royal purple hue, highlighted by other exuberant colors. The side paneling features a printed graphic depicting fierce animals and chess pieces, a nod to Kobe’s wild, calculated style of play. The splashes of extra color complete the shoes, namely the blue laces, neon yellow branding, and oranger inner lining.

The Nike PG2 will release in the special “Mamba Mentality” colorway on April 13th, 2018. Despite the special release, this wild colorway will stick with the Paul George 2’s original retail price of $110.
