Nike’s latest foam cushioning technology is quickly becoming a sought-after commodity. Now, the Swoosh is ready to unleash their ultra-responsive midsole technology to the world in the form of the Zoom Pegasus Turbo, coming soon.

Yes, the new Pegasus Zoom Turbo was built to emulate the look and feel of the Vaporfly 4%, and no, they are nowhere near the same thing. In fact, the Pegasus Zoom Turbo may be one of Nike’s greatest running innovations in decades. The Pegasus line is now on its thirty-fifth iteration, which is already a whopping number. The importance of this turbo iteration though is its use of Nike’s new ZoomX cushioning. The ultra-responsive foam was originally engineered during the Swoosh’s #Breaking2 campaign and has only appeared on one consumer-ready pair since then, making the Pegasus Turbo only the second. The shoe retains the classic look of the Pegasus line, combined with an incredible amount of technology packed into the sole. The ZoomX foam is mixed with React, Nike’s other new cushioning, to create a dual-density sole which provides a more consistent and comfortable feel. As stated by Matt Halfhill in a recent Instagram story discussing the Pegasus Turbo, dual-density cushioning will always have a leg up on uniform soles due to their flexibility and ability to adapt to what you need.
