The Nike P-6000 first debuted earlier this year as a part of the Bowerman series, which pays homage to Nike’s legendary founder through footwear. This week, the women’s’ silhouette releases in a subtle new “Metallic Silver” colorway.

The Nike P-6000 is a brilliant, and underappreciated ode to the company’s founder, Bill Bowerman. Originally the coach of Oregon’s legendary track team, Bowerman was obsessed with the science behind footwear and believed that the right shoe could reduce the stress of distance running on the body, mind, and clock. With this mindset, Bowerman would go on to build one of the greatest sportswear brands in the world. Now, Nike is paying its respects to Bill through his favorite medium, footwear. This week, Nike’s P-6000 silhouette returns, combining several iterations of the famous Pegasus running line for a casual lifestyle runner in a lightweight, sleek package.
