Nike is bringing back their fan-favorite Lunar foam technology this year, this week unveiling a new silhouette that combines the cushioning with a modern upper, dubbed the Lunar Roam.
Nike has begun to use their livestream events on the SNKRS app to unveil upcoming releases, skipping the usual leaks and sharing their proprietary information directly with us. Earlier this season, they showcased a number of upcoming retro releases for 2024 through the SNKRS Showcase, and today, the Heating Up show unveiled the Lunar Roam, a brand new model that debuted in mid-December. Designed by the Nike Running team, the silhouette features a thick Lunar foam midsole underfoot, providing maximum cushioning. The upper is constructed from engineered mesh for breathability and flexibility, with TPU overlays at key points for durability and sturdiness. The upper hides MagWire technology around the midfoot, to add to the silhouette’s stability. The debut colorway paints the shoe in ‘Alabaster’, with accents in black, dark blue, and Saturn gold.
