Nike’s Lunar Force 1 Duckboot first appeared way back in 2015, delivering a modified Air Force silhouette built for inclement weather. After a short hiatus, the silhouette is returning in a new ‘Tan’ colorway for 2022.
The Nike Lunar Force 1 Duckboot was a hit when it first debuted in the mid-2010s. Modifying the classic Air Force 1, the Lunar variant builds the shoe into a Winter boot, featuring water-resistant outer layers, a rubberized toe box, Lunar cushioning in the midsole, and a new outsole pattern for better traction. This week, we got an early look at a new colorway of the fan-favorite model, indicating a fresh wave of styles are set to arrive in time for the Fall/Winter season. The bulk of the upper comes in a soft tan shade, with the star-studded toe box added in a darker, yellowed brown shade. The Lunar foam midsole comes in a clean sail shade, while black accents along the outsole, laces, and front pull tab complete the palette. Some of our favorite features remain a part of the silhouette, including Nike’s Watershield technology for the upper and metal D-rings added to the lacing system.
