Nike and LeBron James have a one-of-a-kind relationship. The pair has produced countless shoes since he signed with the brand fresh out of high school. Now, the two are debuting a new model, the “Zero Dark Thirty” Nike LeBron Soldier 12 SFG.

LeBron James shoes are well known amongst sneakerheads off the court. The signature LeBron x Nike shoe has been a staple in the collections of many fans over the years, adding more iterations as they evolved. Just over a decade ago, Nike and LeBron decided to add another silhouette to his arsenal, the Soldier. Created as a takedown model for LBJ, the Soldier was constructed to deliver the same performance at leading Nike signature models, but with a significantly lower price point. This makes the shoe more accessible to fans who may not otherwise be able to purchase a LeBron shoe. This year’s Nike LeBron Soldier design builds on the looks of the previous two. Opting for a similar high-cut ankle, the new Soldier 12 SFG uses the LeBron 15’s Battleknit upper for lightweight durability. Then, a system of straps swoops over the midfoot to provide the lockdown needed for the NBA court. Finally a smooth suede or nubuck toe cap finishes off the pair by providing extra security throughout the front of the shoe.

The latest silhouette to join the Nike LeBron Soldier line is scheduled to debut on April 12th, 2018. The new “Zero Dark Thirty” colorway of the Soldier 12 SFG will run for $130, a great price considering the uptake in quality of LeBron’s Soldier shoes in recent years.
