LeBron James and Nike team up to celebrate the Laker’s invasive history of Championships during this year’s NBA playoffs with the Nike LeBron 16 “Lakers”.
Although the Laker’s season did not go as expected, LeBron still looks to release a LeBron 16 during the 2019 NBA playoffs dedicated to the Los Angeles Lakers basketball franchise. Whether their record this year shows it or not, the Lakers have always been a winning team. They have 16 Championship rings under their belt, so there is no argument that they have accumulated quite the lineup of winning seasons.
For this LeBron 16, the upper calls upon a pastel purple soft knit upper, that features a pastel yellow tongue and matching laces. Embroidered in on the tongue is a “2” and “3” in purple and black, making up James’ jersey number. Honoring the Championships the Lakers have won, a baby blue overlay patch on the heels displays the 16 individual years that they held up a Larry O’Brien Championship trophy or previously known as before 1984, the Walter A. Brown Trophy.
