LeBron’s season is over but that does not stop him from putting out new iterations of his signature basketball sneakers. Check out the Lebron 16 “Hot Lava” that honors Andre Agassi.
Andre Agassi was a Professional Tennis player from the late ’80s to the mid-2000s and is without a doubt one of the best to step on the courts. Athletic ability aside, he was also known for his very fashionable style. Breaking tennis norms, he dressed in wild colors, loose-fitted clothing, and bright Nike shoes, including the Nike Air Tech Challenge 2 “Hot Lava” that he wore in the 1990 French Open. Pairing it with denim shorts and a matching polo it quickly became a huge hit and one of the best sneakers that can be found in Agassi’s signature line.
This Lebron 16 takes on the iconic colorway in two different editions. Coming in white and black versions, the upper consists of micro-perforated leather and ribbed nylon materials that are actually materials used in the OG pair that Agassi debuted. “Hot Lava” accents are then added in on new Nike Swoosh branding on the midfoot and lateral sides of the shoes. In addition, a splatter design is added in on the heel for an extra flare.

The Nike Lebron 16 “Hot Lava” is set to release in a couple of days on May 24th, 2019 for a retail price of $200. They will become select retailers and on the Nike SNKRS app so don’t sleep as they’re likely releasing in limited quantities.
