First seen during Media Day, Kyrie and Nike Basketball introduced fans to a new colorway. Dubbed the “Sunset” iteration, the color scheme pays tribute to its Air Max Plus Predecessor.

As one of Nike’s most recognizable color palettes, the “Sunset” colorway has seen many models don the theme. Now, the Kyrie Low 2 is the latest silhouette to portray the gradient fade. While the color was first introduced in 1998 by the Air Max Plus, it has become a fan favorite and has been interpreted within Nike’s ongoing catalog. Kyrie’s models are no stranger to thematic designs, most recently, a full SpongeBob line was release with great reception.

Composed of the aforementioned color scheme, the Kyrie Low 2 “Sunset” features a gradient fade from Orange to Yellow. Much like its Air Max counterpart, the model also features hints of Black and White the compliment the vibrant color seen throughout its upper. One of the most notable of characteristics is the heel portion of the model that features an alternate “TN Air”. Rather than keeping the original tag, the Kyrie dons a “KY Air” that is both unique but pays homage to its roots.
