After the drama with Kyrie calling out Nike for not including him in the design process of his next signature shoe, we finally have our first look at the brand new Nike Kyrie 8.
If the drama between Nike and Kyrie was just a tactic for creating buzz around the new signature sneaker, the two succeeded. While the Kyrie series is pretty popular when it comes to performance shoe fans, we’ve never seen the industry focus on the signature like this ever before. But with as aggressive Kyrie was and in the situation purpose, it seemed like the feud between the two was real which is a pretty bad look on Nike’s part and will likely cause the Kyrie 8 to be one they don’t focus on this year.
From first look images, it looks like the rendition arrives in a similar fashion to other Kyrie silhouettes, predominantly the Kyrie 6, Across the mesh, leather, and suede design iridescent overlays are added throughout while Kyrie signature logos are added to the tongue and outsoles.
