Nike and Kyrie’s partnership looks to be dwindling down and what’s expected to be the last signature model from the duo, the Nike Kyrie 8 has finally surfaced in first look images.
It’s rumored that Kyrie’s Nike contract is set to expire following the upcoming 2022-2023 season and with no signs of the contract being picked up again, many expect the Kyrie 8 to be the last of the Kyrie x Nike Basketball signature series legacy. This offering sports a great USA-inspired colorway that features White, University Red, Black, and Wolf Grey throughout the newly designed upper, which has to be one of the best Kyrie designs to date. Featuring a mixture of materials, the model fits in at home among trendy designs with translucent detailing, boastful Nike Swoosh branding, and of course, we expect the model to receive performance upgrades for whatever home court Kyrie finds himself on this coming season.
NIKE KYRIE 8 RELEASE INFORMATION
The Nike Kyrie 8 collection is set to debut this coming November with likely a huge roll out of great new colorways. The drop will go down via select Nike Basketball retailers and Nike.com. The retail price is still listed as TBD. UPDATE 11/5: Following all of the drama surrounding Kyrie Irving, Nike has officially cut ties with the NBA superstar, ending their long-term partnership. While the relationship seemed rocky dating all back to last year where Irving called his own sneaker “trash”, the fallout was solidified due to Kyrie’s recent antisemitic social media posts. The Kyrie 8, which was set to debut this month, will no longer be released.
