Kyrie Irving looks to dedicate his 5th signature basketball sneaker to none other than Spongebob and his friends. Check out this first look at the Nike Kyrie 5 “Spongebob” Collection.
Kyrie Irving and the Celtics ended their 2019 playoff run but that does not mean the production of his signature line of sneakers will stop as well. We just saw him dedicate a model to the tv series Friends now he looks to honor another one with a brand new edition dedicated to Nickelodeon’s Spongebob Squarepants.
This iteration of the Nike Kyrie 5 is arguably the brightest yet. The mesh upper is constructed with a bright yellow mesh all throughout and a design that is inspired by a sponge. All branding is dressed in yellow along with yellow laces and a yellow overlay that features a Nickelodeon spell out. Finishing it off, a white and red midsole on top of a gum outsole completes the design.

UPDATE 7/16: The Kyrie Irving x Nike “SpongeBob SquarePants” Collection is officially releasing globally on August 10th, 2019. Colorways include inspiration from the characters SpongeBob, Patrick Star, Squidward Tentacles, Mr. Krabs and Sandy Cheeks.
