Originally debuted back in 2011, Nike will be adding the Nike Kobe 8 to the Retro lineup set to highlight next year in 2023.

The Nike Kobe 8 was nothing short but social. Worn by Kobe during the second half of the 2011-2012 season, the sneaker was the first model that Nike used engineered mesh on a performance model. In addition to the beginning of new materials, the shoe also featured a handful of memorable colorways where Nike and Kobe both allowed their personalities to show.

The Retro release is another sign of the health that Nike has grown with the Kobe Bryant estate and Vanessa Bryant. While things appeared rocky as the collection of people look to do their best to honor the legacy of The Black Mamba, it finally looks like visions have aligned which allows us the fans a great opportunity to reminisce on the career of Kobe along with his signature shoe series to go alongside it.

We don’t have an official word of what colorways will be returning but expect a handful of fan-favorite offerings to become available next year via select Nike Basketball retailers and Nike.com. Another thing to note, upon release back in 2011, the sneaker retailed for $150. Make sure to stay tuned to JustFreshKicks as we monitor the retro comeback closely.
