First Look: Nike Kobe 6 Protro “Prelude”

Originally released back in 2014, the Nike Kobe 6 Protro “Prelude” will be returning in 2022.

We’ve been waiting for some Kobe x Nike news and we finally have it. Set to bring back one of the 8 designs that finished off the Kobe 6’s legacy, Nike Basketball will be pulling the “Prelude” variation out of the vault this year. Pulling inspiration from Venice Beach, the sneaker features a colorful upper full of graffiti graphics from aquatic animals to palm trees, the duo covered all the California bases. The aquatic design is complemented with bright touches of color such as lime green Nike Swoosh logos on the sides which match the Kobe tongue labels, while blue laces tie the sneaker down and a bright orange sockliner adds just another tone to the rendition. The under-the-water aesthetic is then finished off with a green midsole and icy blue outsole, that’s pretty refreshing.
