Originally released back in 2010, the Nike Kobe 5 “5 Rings” is self-explanatory. The theme released in celebration of Kobe’s 5th and last NBA Finals win.

Nowadays, NBA players are lucky to grab up one ring and to even mention Kobe having 5 brings back so many good memories for Laker and Kobe fans alike. While Nike continues to celebrate the legacy Kobe Bryant left us to look back on, they are now set to return the 5 Rings iteration from 2010 in Protro form this Fall 2020.

Dressed exactly like the OG, the entire upper features a Concord Purple upper where tonal writing is placed throughout the entire base. Yellow then begins to have a role on the Nike Swoosh and toe area where more themed writing is placed in and easier to see due to the contrasted yellow to concord look. A concord tongue, laces, sockliner, and mesh heel begin to add other supportive elements to the sneaker while yellow is used again to allow Kobe branding to pop. A gradient midsole encases Nike’s Zoom technology while an icy grey outsole adds the final touches to the Protro return.
