The Nike Kobe 3 is finally heating up after its debut as a Protro model last year. This week, we got an early look at a new Summer 2026 style, coloring the model in a tonal “Atomic Pink” build.
The third signature sneaker for Kobe Bryant from Nike is the latest model from their historic line to get the Swoosh’s Protro treatment. Back in 2018, when Nike was planning their first-ever retro of Bryant’s Kobe 1 silhouette, the NBA Hall-of-Famer insisted that he did not want a standard retro, and instead wanted his shoes to be updated with modern materials and technologies. Thus, the Protro line was born, making Kobe sneakers still viable on a professional basketball court over a decade after their debut. The first release of the Kobe 3 Protro arrived last Fall, and followed up with several special-edition colors before settling into more standard-issue styles for the webbed silhouette. Recently, Nike previewed a range of upcoming Kobe releases, including an “Atomic Pink” color for the 3, during their Hoop Summit in Portland. The look is tonal, coloring the entire shoe in shades of pink and crimson.

Nike’s next release of their Kobe 3 Protro has not been officially announced yet, but leaks suggest the new color will land on July 1st, 2026. The latest pair covers the webbed silhouette in a tonal “Atomic Pink” shade with some Bright Crimson accents, and will release from both Nike and select retailers for $190.
