Nike is still rolling with their Protro releases of the Kobe 3, one of the more unique looking models in Bryant’s signature line. This week, a new “Mamba Magic” pair has surfaced, reportedly inspired by the iconic Forum Club under the old Lakers’ stadium.
Nike’s Kobe 3 sneaker is one of the more recent models from Bryant’s line of signature sneakers to get the Protro treatment from the brand. This process is not an ordinary retro, as Kobe insisted before his passing that his his shoes should be updated and still wearable on the basketball court instead of reissuing them as lifestyle models. Since its return in August, the Kobe 3 has landed in just a small handful of colors, including special-edition pairs for Christmas and the NBA All-Star Game. Today, we have an early look at a new colorway coming in March, dubbed “Mamba Magic”. This new look is reportedly inspired by The Forum Club, a Lakers experience at their old LA arena, the Forum. The Club was an essential piece of the ’80s Showtime Lakers experience, a VIP space for season ticket holders and celebrities to hang out after games and mingle with players. The sneakers come in a “Doll” pink colorway for this special style, paired with black heels, and a dash of Pink Foam accents.

Nike has not yet formally announced their next release of the Kobe 3 Protro, but this pair is currently expected to release on March 13th, 2026. Dubbed “Mamba Magic”, the new look colors the silhouette in a Doll pink color scheme, with a heavy does of black wrapping around the heels. Inspired by The Forum Club, pairs will be available from both Nike.com and select retailers for $190.
