The Nike Ja 3 has been one of the most exciting player signature models in recent history. The shoe’s eye-catching upper and use of texture caught our eyes from the first leak, and now Morant himself has announced the final installment of this model, the “Team Bank” pack, coming soon.
Ja Morant’s Nike deal must have paid for itself this year with the third installment in his signature sneaker line. The Ja 3 first launched last Summer, and was quickly heralded as one of the best player models of the modern era, stacking up against Anthony Edwards’ AE1 from adidas. The Ja 3 is a natural evolution of its predecessor, which frequently appeared with claw marks down the shoe’s sidewalls. The 3 elevated this look with jagged, toothlike overlays across the entire silhouette, cleverly using some of the negative space in between to form an A, which paired with the oddly-angled Nike Swoosh to spell out Ja across every pair. Built with a mesh underlay, the outer layers of the shoe come in an arrow-shaped texture pattern, which extends down to form the model’s underfoot traction. With many popular colorways out in the world, including collaborations wit Jurassic Park and Swarovski, it is almost time for the Ja 3’s tenure to wrap up in preparation of the fourth model in his signature line.
However, before Nike announced their next player model for Morant, he once again leaked the next release ahead of time. The 3 has been an interesting step in Nike’s rollouts of recent years, with Ja often taking to Instagram to share first looks at notable upcoming releases, and the shoe’s final installment is no different. The “Team Bank” pack takes inspiration from Nike’s history of simple, team-approved colors for all ages, often coloring their more accessible basketball models in one simple color over a white or black base. The Team Bank pack does exactly that, offering up five color options with the same color language throughout. Set against a white backdrop, pairs come in blue, red, grey, green, or orange for this final edition of the Ja Morant 3.
NIKE JA 3 “TEAM BANK” PACK RELEASE INFORMATION
The last installment of Ja Morant’s third signature sneaker with Nike has not been officially announced yet, but will likely drop during Summer, before the fourth model debuts this Fall. The Ja 3 “Team Bank” pack will feature five total colorways, all dressed in a white base with outer shell colors in blue, red, grey, green, and orange. The collection is a nod to Nike Team colors, and will be available through the usual channels; Nike, and sporting goods stores like Dicks, Footlocker, and more. Pricing will likely remain at the standard $125.
