Nike’s Adapt technology has been a hot seller for the brand since it debuted last year. With the release of the Huarache Adapt this Summer, fans now have an auto-lacing silhouette for off the court to look forward to, and it’s coming back in “Vibrant teal” soon.

Nike’s Adapt technology has been making waves in the sneaker community since it debuted on the feet of Michael J. Fox in 2015. At the time, the motorized auto-lacing shoes were limited to less than 100 pairs of the Nike MAG, which were sold at auction. Then, three years later, in 2018, Nike unveiled the first truly consumer-friendly version with the Adapt BB, a performance-minded, court-ready version of the futuristic technology. Then, in the Summer of this year, Adapt technology made another leap into the lifestyle catgory with the debut of the Huarache Adapt. One of the Swoosh’s most legendary silhouettes, the Huarache was heavily modified to fit the underfoot motor, which results in an almost sandal-like silhouette. The latest colorway paints the shoe in a vibrant teal tone, mixed with accents in blue, orange, and yellow for a striking new colorway.
